A good sea moss gel choice starts with a flavour you enjoy, a clear ingredient list and storage directions you can follow. These five checks help you choose a pouch with confidence.
1. Read the whole recipe
Sea moss is the starting ingredient; the rest of the blend shapes the flavour. Our Original Gold lists sea moss, spring water and fresh key limes for a neutral taste.
Berry Blast adds blueberries and honey. Honey, Turmeric & Ginger includes turmeric root, ginger root and raw honey. Choose fruit for smoothies and yoghurt, or spice for porridge and warming drinks.
Both flavoured gels contain honey and are not vegan. Check the complete list for any ingredient you need to avoid.
2. Look for specific, checkable information
A useful product page tells you what you are buying, how much you receive and how to use it. If a seller mentions testing, look for what was tested and which product or batch the report covers.
Words such as “natural”, “wildcrafted” or “organic” describe particular claims about a product. A nutrient amount or test result needs its own supporting information.
3. Keep health claims in proportion
A food supplement should not replace treatment for a health condition. For nutrient claims, look for measured amounts per serving.
Seaweed iodine levels vary. The British Dietetic Association advises checking with your GP before taking additional iodine if you have thyroid disease. Follow your product’s serving directions.
4. Make a freshness plan
